Getronics PinkRoccade introduceerde op 19 maart 2008 de Future-Ready Workspace 2.0.
“Dit nieuwe werkplekconcept combineert alle werkplekfunctionaliteiten binnen één modulaire ICT werkplekomgeving, waardoor medewerkers van grote organisaties in staat worden gesteld op elk gewenst moment en vanaf elk gewenste locatie op veilige wijze met elkaar te communiceren en samen te werken.
De Future-Ready Workspace is modulair opgezet en bestaat uit de volgende drie niveaus:
- Het eerste niveau, bestaande uit hardware en software applicaties die de gebruiker de basisfunctionaliteit biedt waarmee taken effectiever kunnen worden uitgevoerd, bijvoorbeeld door gebruikmaking van Microsoft’s Windows Vista and Office 2007.
- Het tweede niveau bestaat uit werkplekmodules, een combinatie van technologie en diensten gericht op de behoefte aan extra functionaliteit van specifieke gebruikersgroepen of ondernemingen. Voorbeelden hiervan zijn volledig beheerste beveiligingsdiensten en mobiele oplossingen.
- Het derde niveau omvat op maat gemaakte add-ons die extra functionaliteit bieden aan specifieke gebruikersgroepen en ondernemingen, zoals geavanceerde samenwerking en veiligheid, die in allerlei zakelijke toepassingen geïntegreerd kunnen worden.”
Ik ben benieuwd wanneer grote organisaties zover zijn dat ze de huidige structuur loslaten. De medewerker kan er dan wel aan toe zijn anders te werken, maar het bovenstaande gaat naar mijn idee pas werken wanneer oude structuren worden losgelaten…
